The Riverside Local School District is committed to maintaining safe, clean, and attractive facilities which enhance the educational process and promote utilization by staff, students and the community.
The Maintenance Department is comprised of a Maintenance Director, an administrative assistant, eight maintenance workers, eighteen custodians, and one courier. The maintenance staff performs general maintenance as well as specialized duties including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, communications, groundskeeping, and automotive/fleet repairs.
Our facilities consist of four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school campus, a community field house/stadium, and the transportation garage. In all, the Department of Maintenance maintains more than 570,000 square feet of building space.
In addition to the buildings, we maintain over 175 acres of property, 130 of which are mowed at least once a week. In a typical season, we host 200 baseball/softball games, 8 track events, and 60 soccer and football games.
