The Bond Levy for Phase II of the District's Facilities Plan was defeated by voters on May 3, 2022.
While we are disappointed with the final result, we respect the outcome. We’d like to thank the many levy volunteers and community members who supported Issue 1. As many are aware, this bond levy was Phase II of our overall, long-term District Facilities Plan, which was created by a committee of community members, parents, staff and board members back in 2014. Since the plan’s creation, we had promised that we would allow the community to decide on whether or not the District would go forward with Phase II.
Moving forward, Riverside administration will continue to work with the Board of Education to determine next steps to try and resolve issues of our growing population, combined with poor and aging infrastructure that has a limited capacity. In the meantime, we will continue to do the very best we can with the facilities that we have and will remain committed to providing the best education possible for our students.
