Congratulations to all of the Riverside High School Varsity Winter Sports teams and individuals for having very successful seasons.
Both the Boys and Girls Basketball teams won the Western Reserve Conference and Sectional Championships! The girls finished their season 20-4 and the boys finished 21-4. Both teams were undefeated at home!
The Gymnastics team also won the Western Reserve Conference and gymnasts Ella Steen and Allison Urbas represented Riverside High School at the State Gymnastics meet.
The Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving team made it to Districts and several school records were broken by Sam Smith, Kylie Lanning, Maya Jeras, Madi Tas, Matt Hribar and Maddy Fleischer. Julia Hixson is once again a State Champ after winning the 50m para freestyle and the 100m para backstroke.
Lastly, Antonio Bottiggi represented Riverside High School at the State Wrestling Meet, and David Rocha, Nathan Collado and Collin Fairbanks competed at the District Wrestling Meet. Overall, the wrestling team finished 2nd in the Western Reserve Conference.
