Digital Sign

Digital Sign

Motorists traveling along Riverside Drive have become more informed on a regular basis after the installation of a new digital sign, courtesy of the Miller Paul Marut Scholarship Fund.

The fund was established in 2005 by Riverside graduate Jeff Marut and his wife, Jennifer, to honor the loss of their son, Miller Paul Marut to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)

The Miller Paul Marut Fund is the funding source for an electronic sign that has been placed at the entrance to the Riverside Campus to update the entire community, as well as the student body, parents, friends, visitors, staff and any other individual that passes by on Route 84.

The Maruts are very excited about the endless possibilities that the sign brings to the District. As the Maruts state on their website, “In today’s busy world, communication is key!" The new sign will enhance communication not only within the District but within the entire community. Our fund allows us great flexibility and the opportunity to reach as many students as possible.

“By hosting and fundraising for the Miller Paul Marut 5K run/walk (held in conjunction with Concord Community Days) we are able to channel our grief in healthy ways while keeping the memory of our son alive.”

The Miller Paul Marut Scholarship Fund, is designed to support all the schools within the District. Previously funded projects include: playground equipment maintenance and installation, an indoor batting cage for the Riverside baseball program, and the purchase of 30 Nooks for Leroy Elementary to help expose students to current technology while promoting reading in a fun and creative form.
